Our Funding

LYLA is supported by a small number of charitable trusts, local statutory funders and concerned individuals.

Owing to our geographical location LYLA has been slower in securing the funds it needs in order to establish the full young leaders programme. Further financial investment is desperately needed to ensure we can both maintain and develop our programme.

Work and Cultural Opportunities

Organisations can offer support by widening the exposure our young leaders have to the worlds of work and culture. For example, could your company or organisation provide work experience or access to a cultural event for our young leaders?

Mentoring

Mentoring, advice and support from experienced professionals in all walks of life adds an important dimension to our programme by providing our young leaders with positive role models who can help in guiding them towards adult life.

Civic Opportunities

Participating in community life is an important area of our work and enables the young leaders to develop a sense of citizenship. Examples of community volunteering include gardening at a local hospice, environmental projects and work with the elderly. We are always on the look out for new opportunities - let us know if you can help!

There are a number of ways in which parents can contribute to our progress, including fundraising in their local community, participating on EYLA committees, providing specific skills or in promoting our work to their employers, friends, churches, etc.
